Quit! is a sobriety-tracking app that runs entirely on your phone. This page is the whole legal story: how the app handles your information, and the terms you agree to by subscribing. No filler, no fine print you can't find.

Quit! has no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you enter — your quit date, your reasons, your journal entries, your letters to your future self — is written to your phone's storage and never transmitted anywhere. We don't know your name, your streak, or that you have this app installed. There is nothing for us to see, because nothing leaves your device.
Quit! keeps one local file with everything the app needs to work: the habits you're tracking, your start dates, daily pledges and reviews, urge log entries, savings settings, reasons and photos you add, letters to your future self, and your notification preferences. It lives in the app's private storage on your phone, governed by iOS's own sandboxing and, if you turn on Face ID lock in Settings, by your device passcode and biometrics.
None of it is readable by us, by Apple, or by any other app. Deleting Quit! deletes it.
If a future version ever changes this, it will need your explicit, opt-in consent, and this page will say so first.
Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are billed entirely through your Apple ID via Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never receive your card details, billing address, or Apple ID — Apple processes the transaction and tells our app only whether you're entitled to use it. Apple's own privacy policy covers that part of the purchase.
Milestone alerts, your daily pledge and review reminders, and smart risk nudges are all scheduled locally on your phone by iOS itself. There is no push notification service and no server that knows when you'll be nudged — the schedule is computed from your own on-device data and handed straight to iOS.
The home screen widget, Lock Screen counter, Control Center button and the urge-timer Live Activity all read a small snapshot of your progress — your streak, next milestone, and savings — through a container Apple calls an App Group, shared only between Quit! and its own widget extension on the same device. That snapshot never leaves your phone either.
Settings lets you export a backup file and restore from one — useful when you move to a new phone. That file is created and shared entirely by you, using the share sheet or file system you choose (AirDrop, Files, iCloud Drive, email to yourself). We have no part in that transfer and no copy of the file.
Quit! isn't directed at children and isn't listed for children on the App Store. Since the app collects nothing from anyone, there's no children's data for us to knowingly or unknowingly gather.
Uninstalling Quit! removes its local storage, including any exported backup files still sitting on your device (those live wherever you saved them, like any other file, and you can delete them the same way). There's no account for us to close and no server-side copy to remove, because none was ever made.
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it, and any change that affects what the app does with your information will be reflected in the app itself before it takes effect.

You need to be old enough to hold an Apple ID capable of making purchases in your country, and old enough to accept these terms under the law where you live.
Every plan unlocks the identical app — there are no separate paid features once you subscribe. Choose one of:

Prices are shown in the App Store at checkout and may vary by country and currency. Monthly and Yearly are auto-renewing subscriptions billed to your Apple ID; Lifetime is a single, one-time purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, and any subscription automatically renews unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
The Yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid Yearly subscription at the price shown at the time you started the trial. You can check your trial end date and cancel any time in your Apple ID subscription settings.
Manage or cancel a subscription any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Because purchases are processed by Apple, refunds are handled by Apple under their own policies — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The withdrawal-timeline information in the app is general background drawn from common, publicly reported experiences — not a prediction of what you'll feel or a substitute for professional care. If withdrawal feels dangerous, or you're thinking about hurting yourself, contact emergency services or a crisis line in your area right away. The help lines listed in the app's Support tab are provided as a convenience; we don't run them and aren't responsible for their availability or advice.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Quit! on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal use, subject to Apple's standard licensed-application terms and these terms. This license doesn't give you any ownership in the app itself.
Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or resell the app; don't use it in a way that violates any law; don't try to interfere with how it works. We may suspend access for a copy of the app that's being used in a way that breaks these terms.
Quit! is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and we don't guarantee any outcome — including whether it helps you quit anything. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits any liability that can't legally be limited, or narrows any statutory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for Quit!. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
If we change these terms, the date at the top of this page will change, and continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the update.
